The future is the pension industry’s business. And yet, to a new generation, the idea of retirement seems stuck in the past. So Gen Z are cancelling retirement. And we’re celebrating young talent who are shaking things up.
Talking about my generation
How Gen Z will do retirement differently

Evolving the pensions industry is an art, not a science. That’s why we were thrilled to be approached by the Royal College of Art (RCA) for help with a project which explored how to reinvent retirement for Gen Z. Gen Z are veering from the traditional path of study, work, and retirement. They’re more likely to have careers that resemble causes. They’re less likely to own property. And they’ll probably live longer. What will retirement look like for them?
We hosted a webinar with the people behind the project – Service Design Masters students Sarah Riley and Akriti Sharma, and Kam Chana, Head of the Future of Finance Lab at the RCA. In case you missed it, catch up with the recording.

Our development lead Joe Craig muses how industries are taking a more nuanced approach to behavioural science, which factors in human quirks such as emotions and the primal power of storytelling.

Young love
The Professional Pensions Women In Pensions Awards unveils its shortlist for Young Achiever of the Year

In a blow to those who lament that youth is wasted on the young, the shortlist for Young Achiever of the Year features a powerhouse of talent. Among them, our very own Lead Consultant Caroline Hopper. A holder of the CFA UK Certificate in ESG, an ambassador for the Insuring Women’s Futures programme and a regular on the speaker circuit, Caroline is a potent voice on the power of pensions. She’s a jolly nice person, too.
