Analysing a master trust's communications

How we helped Fidelity rate the effectiveness of their pension communications.

Fidelity’s workplace pensions team wanted to know how the quality and usefulness of their master trust’s communications for members compared with those of their peers.

Working with our strategic partner Redington, Quietroom devised a system for scoring communications based on a range of measures such as readability, accessibility and ease of use. We also helped to secure the active participation of 4 more of the largest master trusts.

Over the course of several days 2 Quietroom consultants assessed, discussed and scored hundreds of pieces of communications from the five participating companies. We presented our findings to Fidelity, who are using it as the basis for an overhaul of their pension communications in which we are involved.
